About Me
Hi, I’m Lars — a data and analytics professional with a deep passion for retail and lifestyle brands.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked with iconic names like Pandora, Flying Tiger Copenhagen, Georg Jensen, Rosendahl Design Group, Lagkagehuset, Dyrberg/Kern, ECCO, Cottonfield, Message, GripGrab, Danske Shoppingcentre, Illum, and Sony.
My experience centers on using data and analytics to create impact across retail operations, product development, merchandising, supply chain, finance, and brand strategy. I’ve spent my career helping businesses turn insights into action — and I pride myself on speaking the language of both data and dollars.
Today, I’m Director of Business Analytics at Inspari, where I have the privilege of working alongside 200 of the brightest data minds in Denmark. I’ve split my career almost evenly between internal roles and consulting, giving me a unique perspective on how to build, scale, and embed data solutions that actually work in practice — not just on slides.
How I Work
If I had to name my favorite tool, it wouldn’t be a platform — it’d be a whiteboard.
Because for me, the real value starts before any code is written. I thrive in workshops, helping clients uncover their needs, align across teams, and co-create solutions that stick. I lead strategic discussions, manage complex stakeholder landscapes, and translate ambition into data products that make a difference.
The Tech & Design Side
I work primarily with the Microsoft data stack — including Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and the broader Power Platform. I also have experience with Databricks, and earlier in my career I worked as a QlikView and Qlik Sense developer.
Beyond the tools, I’m passionate about user experience and visual storytelling. I love pushing the design limits of Power BI — creating dashboards that are not just functional, but intuitive, elegant, and actually enjoyable to use. Because in the end, a data product is only as good as its adoption.
This blog is where I share ideas, lessons, and inspiration from the intersection of data and lifestyle retail. My goal is to make data more accessible, more actionable — and ultimately more valuable for the people building great brands.
